The "2nd General Meeting of the Saitama Prefecture Platform for Promoting Sustainable Use of Plastic Resources in Fiscal Year 2023 (Reiwa 5)" was held at the Saitama Prefectural Citizens' Health Center on February 14, 2024 (Reiwa 6).
This organization was established by Saitama Prefecture in June 2021 (Reiwa 3) with the aim of promoting the reduction of plastic waste emissions and the recycling of plastic resources. It consists of businesses, municipalities, consumer groups, and other entities engaged in recycling and waste reduction efforts within the prefecture. Our company's Saitama Factory, introduced by the Prefectural Resource Circulation Promotion Division, explained the recycling cases we have worked on in cooperation with local governments (Kōzu-shi and Ina-machi).
On the day, approximately 170 participants listened attentively to presentations on global trends and recent developments in plastic recycling, as well as various initiatives by different companies, reflecting a high level of interest in the topic.
